Radiotherapy in oncology
On January 5, 2024, a scientific group meeting on the topic “Radiotherapy in oncology” was held under the leadership of Ph.D., Assoc. professor Yulia Vasylivna Moskalenko. Students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work of the department of near-focus radiation therapy, where gynecological tumors and malignant neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract are treated. Thank you for assisting the radiation oncologist Morgun Tetyana Dmitrivna.
Research work of students in today’s conditions is an important component of university education. It contributes to the formation of scientific worldview and personal professional development, develops creative thinking and individual abilities, develops skills of independent research work, attracts talented young people to research work of departments, promotes education and training of young scientists.
Students of the Department of Oncology and Radiology under the guidance of teachers are actively involved in the scientific component of education: take part in research works, competitions of student’s scientific works, olympiads, conferences, seminars, projects.
Achievements of the department: winners of the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Oncology: Ivanov S., Boyko V. (2017, head – Moskalenko Y.V.), Smorodska O. (2018, head – Vynnychenko I.O.).
In the educational process of the department new educational technologies are introduced, which are elements of scientific activity, improve perception, analysis, memorization and understanding of information by students, develop and recognize the abilities of the scientist: conferences of students and young scientists, creation of presentations, testing programs, solving clinical and situational problems, patient supervision, experimental research, publication of articles and abstracts.
